About Snapmed

  • You can send skin questions to Snapmed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You're guaranteed an answer back within 24 hours.

  • Our doctors are all board-certified in dermatology, working as senior NHS consultants in busy clinics and hospitals across the country.

    Snapmed gets you in touch with these medical professionals right now, wherever you are, whenever you need them.

  • To submit a question, just click for a photo consultation. You'll be asked some questions, and invited to upload a couple pictures. You can do this from your photo library or just snap pictures on your phone or tablet. We'll create you an account with your phone number and a personal password. We'll send you an SMS with a one-time code for you to input, and then you proceed to payment. We'll confirm it all by SMS, and notify you with another like it when your case has been reviewed.

Payment, prices and refunds

  • If you don't get your photo consult answer within 24 hours, tell us, at support@snapmed.co.uk, and we'll refund your money.

  • We're happy to do that, for free. Simply log back in and click on your case. You will find a button down and to the right, where you can request review by another Snapmed dermatologist.

  • For photo consultations, it's £75, and £65 if you need to come back for a follow-up check. For video, it's £115 for the initial session, then £105 for follow-up.

Prescription medication and referrals

  • Most cases submitted to us are solved with over-the-counter treatment. If you do need prescription medication, our doctors are very happy to prescribe for you, as long as your dispensing pharmacy is in the United Kingdom. Some medications are not suitable for online prescribing, because they require ongoing management. These we will recommend for your GP prescribe and monitor.

  • As a private dermatology practice, we are unable to make direct referrals. We do, however, advise you on appropriate referrals to request from your NHS GP.
